READY TO BECOME AN EQUINE EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER?
Join me at one of the South West's leading equestrian venues for a hands-on Equine photography coaching day.
You don't know what you don't know yet
Lots of photographers want to break into Equine Event Photography but without knowing the right camera settings, how to read a show jumping or cross country course, or how to correctly time the shots, most end up with the same problems:
Too many images, more bad than good, shots that are blurry or mis-timed and no knowledge on how to actually sell their images afterwards.
Most photographers don't need more expensive gear - they need a clear understanding of the techniques and workflow that consistently produces great results.
The camera isn't the problem, and buying a new one won't fix it
Left unchanged, these problems won't go away, they'll escalate: clients who don't rebook, events you're not invited back to because it's too complicated to buy from you & then you get that gut feeling your images & workflow just aren't quite "professional" yet.
Most photographers respond the wrong way. They assume it's the gear and spend hundreds, sometimes thousands, upgrading equipment, while the underlying problem stays exactly where it was.
It's almost always a camera setting, timing, or positioning issue and that's completely fixable on the camera you already own.
WHY THIS DAY WORKS
Dream outcome
Leave with the confidence, technical skill and full workflow to photograph professional events and to actually sell what you capture.
Likelihood of success
I've helped photographers from completely different backgrounds break into Event Photography, some I now hire myself.
Time Delay
No "I need to practice for months before I can start paid work".
By the end of this day, you'll have shot and fully edited portfolio worthy event images.
1:1
No large groups, no fighting for the best position.
Elite venues, riders, horses & courses all arranged.
Just bring your camera & your attention.
THE DAY ITSELF
MORNING
Shooting in the field
Together, we'll photograph a variety of jumping scenarios, explore the best angles, walk the show jumping & cross country courses from a photographer's perspective, and cover the techniques that make the biggest difference to the images that actually sell.
AFTERNOON
Editing & Workflow
We don't stop when the cameras are packed away.
We'll edit some of the images you captured that morning, build an efficient workflow, create your own Lightroom preset, and cover exporting, image delivery, selling your images and applying for freelance event work.
This isn't a one-off day, it's ongoing mentorship
I go one step further than most coaching days - I stay in your corner after it ends. You'll get my Event Photography Guide and Camera Settings Guide to keep but not only that, you'll receive ongoing WhatsApp support and personal feedback on your images as you keep shooting, giving you real accountability & feedback so you continue to improve your skill.
DON'T JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT
What my Students say:
"Absolutely incredible day down at Pontispool with Amy from Indy Equine Photography learning the art of videography with horses. Huge thanks to the 4 riders who were absolute super stars - so kind patient & willing! Words can’t express what an incredible day it was - it didn’t rain which was also an added bonus!"
~ Will Horne
"My brain is bursting with new knowledge and I had such a fun day - thank you Amy & the awesome riders and horses helping me learn."
~ Maz at Moss Photographic
"I just wanted to say a massive thank you for today, I have really had the best day & I learnt so much that I can now put into practice. Thank you for the patience & guidance, it’s been such an insightful day & I can’t wait to get back out & practice!"
~ Tash Hutton
"Today, I spent the day with Amy from Indy Equine Photography finally getting those sharp shots I’ve always been struggling with.
We worked through camera settings & finding the best angles at each fence - so much to think about and so many buttons to press!
But with Amys guidance (and some very patient riders), it all started to come together.
Thank you for the confidence boost I didn’t realise I needed, and for sharing so much knowledge, it’s really appreciated!"
~ Faron McLellan
